Guest performance of the Northern Kunqu Opera group (Beijing) – under the patronage of the Austrian Commission for UNESCO

We are very excited to be welcoming the Beifang Kunqu-Juyuan Opera group in Vienna. The importance of the classical Chinese Kunqu opera for the musical culture of the world has been highlighted by its inscription on UNESCO's Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Two performances featuring different operas will take place in the festive hall of the Austrian Academy of Sciences, on 23 and 24 November at 7 pm.
